Manual Impulse Sealers
| Impulse sealers use a short burst of electricity flowing through an specialy designed wire to melt the sides of poly bags or other laminated bags and weld them together. Impulse sealers only generates heat when the jaw are brought into contact with the bag. There are several types of impulse bag sealers, characterize by their type of operation. Manual impulse sealers are activated by the operator placing a bag between the jaws and pushing the upper jaw of the heat sealer down to come in contact with the bag. These types of impulse bag sealer are usually tabletop models. |
|
| For impulse sealers, the heating timer must be set to produce a level of heat from the heating element that is sufficient to literally "melt" the bag material. The correct timer setting is critical to the successful operation of any impulse bag sealer. If the timer is not set long enough the seal will be weak and tend to burst open. If it is set too long it will burn the bag material and also produce a low quality seal for your product. Some models feature a cutter device to cut remainings after sealing. | |
What are you looking in a bag sealer?
| The wide selection of Jorestech / Apolo heat sealers: offer an affordable price for an excellent quality. Each unit features heavy duty electronic components in a rugged metal body design. Some models, mainly used for the food industry, feature a stainless steel design. Impulse Sealers, constant heat designs as well as the very popular Continuous Band Sealers are among the machines which can be found here. Manual Impulse sealers and foot sealers are somehow limited by the maximum width the machine can seal. For example our MMS-450 Foot operated sealer will only seal bags which width is smaller than the width of the machine in this case 450 mm (about 18 inches) Continuous band sealers on the contrary, are not limited by the sealing width as the bag in this machine is sealed in a continuous path. | |
|
Apolo continuous band sealer machines may also print useful information for your product. The "product expiration date" or "use before date" can be coded into the seal area during the sealing process. Apolo band sealers may be found for both, horizontal and vertical applications. | |
